We'll build strength with spicy workouts and recover with nervous system resets, with enough space in-between to enjoy all this coastal gem has to offer!!
I have been a mat Pilates instructor at Blue Moon Yoga in Fresno since 2021 and recently added hot Yoga Sculpt to my class styles at the studio. I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Briohny Smyth's Aligned Yoga School (RYS Registered School) in Phuket, Thailand in 2025, and shortly after did Yoga Sculpt training with Blue Moon Yoga. I grew up as a competitive athlete, playing volleyball for over a decade, and my history in athletic conditioning, strength training, and weight lifting has continued to influence and inspire how I lead movement.
Finding yoga and pilates during the pandemic shifted how I approach movement. I used to think every single time I showed up to exercise, I had to physically push past 100% for it to be worth it. I have learned that real strength comes from working hard and then truly resting, so you can show up and do it again and again.
I still love to work hard on my mat! But not every time on the mat is for the sole purpose of “work.” We can welcome movement that slows us down and draws our focus in and away from what aims to distract us in the world. That's what's guiding the philosophy behind this whole weekend: sweat hard, recover fully, and leave feeling stronger, not depleted.
This weekend is built around both sides of training: effort and recovery. Yoga Sculpt, Beach Boot(y)camp, and Pilates Sculpt build strength, muscular endurance, and cardiovascular capacity. This work drives long-term metabolic health, not just a hard sweat. Then Restorative Yoga and contrast therapy shift you into a parasympathetic state, where your nervous system can downregulate, cortisol drops, and adaptation happens.
Training hard without ever recovering keeps your body running on a low-grade stress response. This weekend gives you both sympathetic effort and parasympathetic rest, so you leave with real strength and a calmer nervous system, not just fatigue.
You'll go home with more than sore muscles. Better mobility and core stability, a nervous system that's had the chance to reset, and enough recovery that makes it possible to keep showing up strong for everything waiting for you back home.
We'll spend some time in the studio, some on the sand. These sessions are designed to build real strength, sharpen balance and core stability, and boost cardiovascular endurance, so you leave feeling stronger, not just tired. With a slow-down session right when your body needs it most!

I partnered with a nutritionist to build a custom fueling guide for the active woman. It's a guide on how to nourish, fuel, and recover before, during, and after your movement. We will bring it all together around the table for a shared private chef dinner.
A custom guide on how to nourish, fuel, and recover, made for the active woman, so you leave knowing how to feel your best long after the weekend ends.
The whole group together for a private chef-led dinner at The Pacific Motel.
A $350 deposit reserves your spot. The remaining balance is due September 26, 2026 (also when registration closes). Spots are limited!!!
Come solo or bring a friend, either way you will be surrounded by a community ready to sweat alongside you.
Absolutely. Come with a friend or come without knowing anyone. Connection is part of the weekend, and Salty Strand only brings good, friendly vibes.
Shared means you have a roomie. You can pick who, just tell Becca. Note that shared rooms have one bed, but it's a king, so there's plenty of room.
Most retreat movement sessions are just for Salty Strand guests. The Pilates Sculpt Workshop at Cayucos Yoga is a special community class that's also open to the public.
Outside the private chef dinner, meals aren't broadly included. I've left intentional time for you to explore Cayucos and choose your own breakfast and lunch spots.
We love the guys, but this Salty Strand retreat is women only. Get the girls together for a long weekend away.
